Application Photo & Document Preflight Checker

Check a file before you upload it to a passport, job or visa portal. ToolNova validates measurable requirements in your browser and can fix common image size, format and crop problems.

1. Choose an application preset

Official presets show the source and last-verified date. Custom presets let you enter portal-specific limits.

What this checker can — and cannot — verify

The preflight checker reads file properties locally in your browser. It can verify file type, file size, pixel dimensions, aspect ratio and an approximate light/white background score for images. It can also create a corrected JPG for presets with measurable digital requirements.

It cannot reliably judge whether a face is recent, centred correctly, has a neutral expression, whether glasses obscure the eyes, or whether an authority will accept the file. Those are visual or policy decisions. Always compare the result with the official portal before submitting.

Verified presets included

Pakistan online passport photo

Checks JPG/JPEG, maximum 3 MB, exact 350 × 467 pixels and a mostly white background. DGI&P publishes these digital upload specifications for online passport services.

FPSC job application photo

Checks a recent JPG/JPEG photo under 30 KB. FPSC's current online application guideline specifies the format and maximum size but does not publish one exact pixel dimension.

Pakistan visa photo

Checks the 35:45 portrait ratio and a mostly white background. DGI&P states 45 mm high × 35 mm wide for visa photographs.

UAE ICP personal photo

Checks the 35:45 portrait ratio and white background. ICP guidance describes a 3.5 × 4.5 cm recent photo that follows ICAO standards.

Schengen / ICAO photo

Checks a 35:45 portrait crop and a light background. EU guidance requires an ICAO-compliant photo; individual consulates can request additional details, so verify your destination country's instructions.

Custom photo or document portal

Enter the portal's own type, maximum KB and optional pixel dimensions. This is useful for university, recruitment, licensing and other application systems without a built-in preset.

Why a preflight check is useful

Application portals often reject a file only after you have filled a long form. A preflight check catches mechanical issues first: a 32 KB photo for a 30 KB limit, a PNG where JPG is required, or a portrait image with the wrong dimensions. That does not replace the authority's review, but it removes common file-format problems before submission.

Official requirement sources

Frequently asked questions

No. A green result means the measurable checks configured in this tool passed. Human/biometric rules and portal-specific checks may still apply.

No. The file is read in your browser. Image correction also happens with the browser Canvas API.

For strict KB limits such as FPSC's 30 KB maximum, reducing JPEG quality alone may not be enough. The tool can reduce pixel dimensions gradually until the file fits the configured limit.
