  2. Choose the page size you want.

Features

  • Scales content to the new page size rather than cropping or stretching oddly
  • Keeps text selectable — pages aren't converted to images
  • Supports A4, US Letter and US Legal

Choose the right PDF page size

A4 is common for international documents, while Letter is widely used in the United States and Canada. Resizing a PDF page changes the page canvas; it does not guarantee that every document element will reflow like text in a word processor.

After resizing, open the result and check margins, orientation and any content near the page edges. This is especially important before printing forms, certificates, labels or documents with fixed-position graphics.

Frequently asked questions

The page content is scaled proportionally to fit the new page size, so nothing is cropped — margins may look slightly different since the aspect ratio of the new size may not exactly match the original.

Yes — this resizes the underlying page content rather than rendering pages as images, so text, links and quality are preserved.

Page size and content size are different things

Changing the PDF page box does not automatically make every element ideal for the new paper size. After resizing, inspect margins and any content close to the edge, especially before printing.

  • Choose the target size used by the printer or receiving system.
  • Check portrait versus landscape orientation.
  • Print or preview one representative page before processing a critical document set.
