Prepare images before making a PDF
For a clean multi-page PDF, rotate images correctly first and add them in the order you want them to appear. Images with similar orientation and dimensions usually produce a more consistent document.
A PDF made from photos is still image-based; text inside the photos is not automatically converted into editable text. If you need searchable text, use OCR software after creating the PDF.
For forms and document scans, crop unnecessary borders before creating the PDF. Smaller, correctly oriented images can make the final file easier to read and may reduce the PDF size without lowering legibility.

Build a readable image-based PDF
Image-to-PDF conversion is useful for receipts, scans and photo sets, but page order and orientation matter. Arrange the files first and check that each image is readable at the final page size.
- Rotate photos before combining if their orientation is wrong.
- Use a consistent page size when the document will be printed.
- For searchable text, use OCR software after conversion because a plain image PDF contains images, not editable text.
