Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar local storage ToolNova uses, in plain terms. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website can ask your browser to store, so the site (or a third-party service it uses) can recognise your browser later. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature we also use for one thing on this site, described below.

Cookies/storage we set directly

ToolNova uses browser local storage for device-side preferences such as dark mode. The CV Builder can also store an optional CV draft locally when you press Save draft. These values stay in that browser unless you clear site data. ToolNova does not use those local-storage values to build advertising profiles.

Cookies set by third-party services

If the following services are active on the site, they may set their own cookies under their own policies:

We don't control what these third parties store; their own policies (linked above) describe it in detail.

Cookies used by the tools themselves

The tools on this site (image, text, developer, calculator, document and audio tools) don't use cookies at all — they process your file or text directly in your browser's memory for that session and don't persist anything to cookies or local storage.

How to control cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser's settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies specifically (which limits ad personalisation without breaking the site). Clearing local storage will simply reset your dark mode preference back to default.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the cookies or services we use change — for example, when AdSense is activated. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
