Audio Tools

Trim audio and adjust volume directly in your browser. Supported files are processed on your device using browser audio capabilities.

Simple audio editing without a full editor

ToolNova audio tools cover quick tasks such as trimming a section from a recording or changing playback volume. The work is done in the browser and is aimed at short, practical edits rather than multi-track production.

Browser codec support can vary by device. If a source file cannot be decoded, convert it to a broadly supported format such as WAV or MP3 in a trusted audio application and try again.

For the cleanest edit, listen to the exported file from start to finish and check the first and last second for abrupt cuts or clipping. Keep an original copy before changing gain or trimming a source recording.

The tools are designed for short practical edits rather than mastering, noise restoration or studio effects. For advanced production work, use a dedicated audio editor that provides waveform automation, multitrack mixing and export controls.

Editing audio without damaging it

Trimming and changing volume solve different problems. Trimming changes duration; gain changes loudness. A louder file can still be noisy or distorted, and an abrupt trim can still sound poor even when the timestamps are technically correct.

Preview edits at normal listening volume before download. For speech, place cuts in natural pauses; for music, listen for beat boundaries. When boosting volume, check the loudest section first because clipping becomes obvious there.

Keep the source file until the edited result has been checked in another player. If you need mastering, noise removal or broadcast loudness targets, a full audio editor is more appropriate than a quick browser utility.
