This policy explains what happens to your data when you use ToolNova ("we", "us", "the site").
How the tools handle your files and text
Every tool on this site is built to run in your browser. When you upload a file or type text into a tool, that content is processed locally using JavaScript running on your own device — it is not uploaded to our servers, and we have no way to see it. It's discarded automatically when you close or refresh the page.
Some tools (for example, Word to PDF, PDF to Word, HEIC to JPG and the PDF tools) load a third-party JavaScript library from a public CDN (such as cdnjs or jsDelivr) to do the conversion. Loading that script contacts the CDN provider's servers, the same way loading any external script or font does — but your file or text content itself is still processed only inside your browser and is not sent to the CDN or to us.
Information we may collect
We may use analytics software (such as Google Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns — pages visited, approximate location, device type and referring site. This is aggregated and not tied to your name. If we run advertising through Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can manage ad personalisation through Google's Ads Settings.
If you contact us directly (for example, by email), we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address and the content of your query. We use it only to respond to you.
Cookies and local storage
ToolNova uses browser local storage for small device-side preferences such as dark mode. The CV Builder can also save an optional draft in local storage when you choose “Save draft”; that draft remains on the device/browser you used until you clear it. If analytics or advertising services are active, they may set their own cookies as described below.
Third-party services
Depending on which are active, this site may use: Google Analytics (traffic measurement), Google AdSense (advertising), and public JavaScript CDNs (cdnjs, jsDelivr, Google Fonts) that serve the libraries and fonts the tools and design need to run. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing what it collects when its script loads.
If Google AdSense is activated, third-party vendors including Google may place and read cookies or use other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google advertising cookies can be used to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to ToolNova or other websites.
Users can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Information about how Google uses data on partner sites is available on Google’s partner-sites privacy page. Before personalised ads are served where a certified consent platform is required, the applicable consent flow must be configured.
Your choices
You can clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time through your browser settings, which will reset preferences like dark mode. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies, which limits ad personalisation. Because file and text processing happens locally rather than on our servers, there's no account or stored file to request deletion of.
Data security
Since tool processing happens in your browser rather than on a server, there's no file upload for us to secure or lose. Any information you send us directly (such as a contact email) is handled the same way any normal email is, and we don't sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, through the contact form), please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when adding analytics, advertising, or new tools that work differently. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
