About ToolNova
ToolNova is a growing collection of 54 free, browser-based tools built for the tasks that come up constantly and never deserve a full app download: compressing a photo for an online form, converting Word to PDF, counting words, formatting JSON, or calculating salary tax.
Why we built it
Most "online tool" sites bury a two-second task under ads, uploads to a mystery server, and a sign-up wall. We wanted the opposite: open the page, use the tool, get your result. Wherever a task can be done entirely in your browser, that's how we've built it — your files and text aren't sent to a server.
How the tools work
Every tool on this site runs as plain JavaScript in your browser tab. There's no account system and no database. When a tool's page says a file is processed locally, that means the conversion, compression or calculation happens on your own device using standard browser APIs (like Canvas for images), not on our servers.
More tools are coming
We add new tools in small, tested batches rather than shipping placeholders. If there's a tool you'd like to see, use the contact page to let us know.
Who's behind it
ToolNova is built and maintained by Toseef. You can reach out any time via the contact page.
How we choose and maintain tools
We prioritise tools that solve a specific task clearly, can be tested in the browser and have a useful result without forcing an account. Country-specific calculators are reviewed against the rule set stated on their page, and pages are updated when functionality or guidance changes.
ToolNova now includes image, text, developer, calculator, document, audio and career tools. We prefer improving a working tool and its instructions over publishing large numbers of placeholder pages.
Testing and feedback
Before a new tool is promoted in navigation, we test its main input and output flow, local browser behaviour and common error states. Feedback from real users helps us decide what to fix or build next.
Editorial and update standards
Tool pages are written to explain the task, the limits of the result and the situations where a different workflow may be better. We do not publish placeholder tools just to create another search page, and we avoid presenting estimates as official decisions.
When a calculator depends on country rules, the page states the assumptions and, where appropriate, links to the relevant official authority. When an image, document or text tool runs locally, we describe what happens in the browser rather than making a broad privacy claim that the tool cannot support.
We review tools after functional changes, update guidance when a rule set changes, and use feedback to fix unclear instructions or broken edge cases. The site is independently maintained; directory listings and backlinks do not determine how tools are ranked or described here.
