Compress Image to 50KB
Compress a photo to 50KB or less without uploading it. The tool keeps the original dimensions when possible and reduces them only if quality compression is not enough.
How to compress an image to 50KB
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image — the target is already set to 50KB.
- Click Compress to target size. The tool first searches for the highest JPEG quality under 50KB; if that is not enough, it reduces the pixel dimensions in small steps.
- Check the result size and output dimensions, then download the compressed JPG.
Features
- Aims for 50KB or less instead of making you guess a quality percentage
- Automatically reduces dimensions only when quality compression alone cannot reach the target
- Shows the actual output size, JPEG quality and final pixel dimensions
- Runs entirely in your browser — your image is not uploaded to ToolNova
What a 50KB image limit means
50KB gives noticeably more room than 20KB, but high-resolution phone photos may still need a modest resize as well as JPEG compression.
This preset is useful for application forms, profile photos and document portals with a small image limit. Always use the exact size and dimension requirements shown by the website you are uploading to, because different portals set different limits.

Balancing clarity at a 50KB limit
A 50KB target gives more room than 20KB but can still be restrictive for detailed photos. Portraits and form photos normally compress well if the dimensions match the display size; screenshots with tiny text may need more careful checking.
- Resize to the portal’s required dimensions before chasing quality.
- Prefer a clean crop over extreme JPEG compression.
- Open the final file and confirm small text and facial features remain clear.
